I really don't watch the news much, but when I do, I watch CNN. I like how they layout everything and how it is presented well. I like how they have a bar at the bottom which is filling the viewer in with other news rather than just the stories they are broadcasting. It's something to read when you are not really interested with something they are presenting in my opinion. Other than that, I just enjoy how they present stories, using lots of visual aids to portray what the story is about better.

When Proposition 19 was announced, it opened a lot of peoples eyes in the nation. Now, the recreational use of up to one ounce of marijuana is getting closer to being legal. When the fact that the nation may be legalizing the recreational use of marijuana, it is not something that an everyday citizen would just ignore. Some people were upset, some people were happy, and i'm sure there were a few others that really didn't care. None the less, the story was all over the news. Sweeping the nation. Everyone was anxious. CNN had huge stories happening about the proposition. Talking about California and the use of medical marijuana, which was already legal in that state. Fox did very similar stories with almost no differences. These being two of the biggest news programs in the country, it does not surprise me. Democracy now, of course focusing on mainly democratic views, did a giant story on Proposition 19. In the video, they interviewed California's NAACP President. Something that CNN and Fox really didn't focus on, rather than doing quick little stories every few days about the issue. I think that this was because democrats want change, and it being a democracy based program, it was a lot bigger of a deal and they wanted people to know what they felt like. CNN and Fox seem like they didn't want to make it a huge deal just because it is such a touchy subject with certain people. I found the contrast in the news programs fascinating. This really goes to show how different news programs show there stories.
